The Museum of New Mexico is housed in the Palace of the Governors on the Plaza de Santa Fe, and is the oldest continuously used public building in the United States. The Palace of the Governors is a National Historic Landmark, built before the Pilgrims landed at Plymouth Rock. The Museum chronicles the history of Santa Fe as well as New Mexico, the desert Southwest and the Americas.
